Main Technical Indicators Of Audio Speaker System

The overall technical index performance of the audio system sub woofer speaker depends on the performance of each unit. If the technical index of each unit in the system is high, the overall technical index of the system is good.
Its technical indicators mainly include six items: frequency response, signal-to-noise ratio, dynamic range, distortion, transient response, stereo separation and stereo balance.
1、 Frequency response: the so-called frequency response refers to the frequency range of the sound equipment speakers woofer during playback and the relationship between the amplitude of the sound wave and the frequency.
In general, the frequency amplitude of 1000Hz is taken as the reference and the logarithm is used to express the frequency amplitude in decibels (dB).
The overall frequency response of the computer speakers or soundbar audio system is theoretically required to be 20~20000 Hz.
In actual use, due to circuit structure, component quality and other reasons, this requirement is often not met, but generally at least 32~18000Hz.
2、 Signal to noise ratio: the so-called signal to noise ratio refers to the ratio of the sound system's reproduction of sound source software to the new noise generated by the whole system. The noise mainly includes thermal noise, AC noise, mechanical noise, etc.
Generally, this indicator is expressed in decibels (dB) of the logarithmic ratio between the rated output power of the playback signal and the system noise output power without signal input. The signal-to-noise ratio of general audio system shall be above 85dB.
3、 Dynamic range: The dynamic range refers to the logarithm of the ratio of the maximum undistorted output power of the rgb pc speakers audio system during playback to the system noise output power at static state, in decibels (dB). Generally, the dynamic range of sound system with good performance is above 100 (dB).
4、 Distortion: Distortion refers to the change of some parts of the original sound source signal (waveform, frequency, etc.) after the sound system replays the sound source signal. The distortion of audio system mainly includes the following types:
1. Harmonic distortion: The so-called harmonic distortion refers to that the sound reproduced by the audio system has many additional harmonic components than the original signal source.
This additional harmonic component signal is the frequency multiplication or division of the signal source frequency, which is caused by the nonlinear characteristics of the negative feedback network or amplifier. The harmonic distortion of high fidelity audio system shall be less than 1%.
2. Intermodulation distortion: Intermodulation distortion is also a kind of nonlinear distortion, which means that two or more frequency components are mixed in a certain proportion, and each frequency signal is modulated with each other, and a new nonlinear signal is generated after passing through the playback equipment. The signal includes the sum and difference of each signal.
3. Transient distortion: transient distortion is also called transient response, which is mainly caused by the signal distortion when a large transient signal is suddenly added to the amplifier due to the slow response of the amplifier.
Generally, after the input square wave signal passes through the playback equipment, observe whether the envelope waveform of the amplifier output signal is similar to the input square wave waveform to express the following ability of the amplifier to the transient signal.
5、 Stereo separation: Stereo separation refers to the isolation between the left and right channels in a stereo system, which actually reflects the degree of crosstalk between the left and right channels. If the crosstalk between the two channels is large, the stereo sense of sound reproduction will be weakened.
6、 Stereo balance: Stereo balance indicates the difference between the left and right channel gains in the stereo playback system. If the imbalance is too large, the sound image positioning of the replayed stereo will be offset.
Generally, the stereo balance of high-quality sound system should be less than 1dB.
4. How are the sound range and audio range of the sound system playback divided? How does each band perform on music?
The sound reproducing range of the sound system can generally be divided into eight ranges: subwoofer, bass, bass, midrange, alto, mezzo treble, sub treble, treble and extra treble.
The audio frequency range can generally be divided into four frequency bands, namely the low frequency band (30~150Hz); Medium frequency band (150~500Hz); Medium and high frequency band (500~5000Hz); High frequency band (5000~20000 Hz).
Among them, 30~150Hz frequency band: it can express the low frequency components of music, so that the audience can feel a strong dynamic feeling.
150~500Hz frequency band: it can express the expressiveness of a single percussion instrument in music, and is the part that expresses strength in low frequency.
500-5000Hz frequency band: mainly expresses the clarity of singer's language and the expressiveness of string music.
5000~20000Hz frequency band: mainly expresses the brightness of music, but too much will break the sound.
